Only One Way to Heaven
By George Thurlow

There is only one way to heaven, And this I'll have you know... It doesn't matter who you are, But on Who you know. Your kindest deeds, your charity Can never measure up, To the Cross of Calvary, To Gethsemane's Cup. No man on earth can grant you Grace. No one can fill that spot. There's only one way to Heaven, Through what His Blood has wrought. There are no secret passwords... Neither cash nor prayers will do. All of your best efforts Will never see you through. No man can meet God's standard. No one can make the grade. Holiness is His measuring stick. Self-righteousness won't persuade. For there are no scales in Heaven. St. Peter doesn't guard the gate... There's only one way to heaven; You must choose before too late. Just one entrance into heaven, Through Christ the only Door... Through faith in His Atoning Blood For all our sins He bore. |
