Lift Up Your Hands
By George Thurlow
When the devil gets you down,
On your face there is a frown, You feel that you might drown... By faith raise up your hands. When you're down and out, You lost your joy and shout, You feel there's no way out... In praise lift up your hands. Praise will lift your spirit, And you'll see things differently... Like Elisha and his servant, You're eyes opened spiritually. * Praise is a secret weapon To be used to make a stand, Causing faith to rise within you, This lifting of the hands. It shows the Lord you trust Him, And makes your own heart glad, Bringing home the victory, And driving the devil mad. So if the devil gets you down, Just turn it all around, Put on the victor's crown, In faith raise up your hands.
2 Kings 6:15-17
