The Joy of the Lord Is My Strength

Weakened and enfeebled,
Vulnerable for attack…
Is the Christian warrior
Whose joy is running slack.
The enemy has the advantage
When we are waning low,
For our strength’s depleted
When we loose our glow.
The joy of the Lord
Is the Christian’s strength,
And always it is crucial
To maintain at any length.
Don’t let the devil steal your joy
Through circumstance or plight;
Praise your way to victory
In the Spirit press on and fight.
Nehemiah 8:10

The LORD is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.
