Hold Fast

Hold fast, don't faint my brother
For Christ is at the door,
"We're closer to heaven's portals
Than we ever were before".
Hold fast unto the Word of God,
Don't get "squirmy" in your faith,
Throwing in the towel
So near the finish of the race.
Fix your eyes upon the prize
You are standing on the brink
Of a miracle soon to happen
You're much closer than you think.
Hold fast and do not waver
Be a true soldier of Christ,
Take up the sword of the Spirit,
Live an overcoming life.
Hold fast, don't faint my sister
For Christ is at the door,
"We're closer to heaven's portals
Than we ever were before".
This poem was inspired by Rev. Merle L. Mitchell's sermon Hold Fast preached on 3/18/2018 pm service at Faith Lighthouse Assembly of God in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
*"We're closer to heaven's portals than we ever were before"
*squirmy salvation".
