Give the more earnest heed
To the things in which we heard;
Not being hearers only
But doers of the Word.
Give the more earnest heed
To the Gospel call,
Unless at anytime
You should slip and fall.
Don’t neglect so great salvation,
Always keep your eyes on Christ.
Be steadfast and obedient
To obtain the prize.
Give the more earnest heed
To the One who reigns on high.
Be diligent and faithful
For Christ’s coming it is nigh!
Hebrews 2:1
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Hebrews 2:3
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
James 1:22-25
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
